Plans to open a new restaurant in Glasgow city centre have been withdrawn.

Saltys West Glasgow was seeking permission from Glasgow City Council to turn a former shop, which sits on the corner of Renfield Street and St Vincent Street, into a restaurant.

However, this week the company withdrew its plans for the site.

The plan would have seen the vacant unit and neighbouring newsagents turned into a restaurant.
