WILLIAMWOOD parish church celebrated more than Sunday worship this week as congregation member Flo Smith arrived on the morning of her 104th birthday.

Flo – who still lives in her own flat in Netherlee – regularly attends the church with son Alastair and other members of her family, after years of involvement in the parish and its Girl Guides movement.

Session clerk Margaret Robertson described Flo as a “remarkable woman” and, on behalf of everyone at Williamwood, wished her many happy returns.
