THE weather and crowds played fair with Carluke Gala Day.
Although the forecast was for showers, the sun came out to ensure 2008's gala day was a scorcher.
Hundreds of people lined the streets to watch the procession, before packing into the Cross for the crowning.
Gala queen elect Lauren Fullarton looked every inch like royalty as she was crowned by Margaret Murray.
