A HEART-BROKEN dad has hit out at vandals who destroyed a tree specially planted in memory of his late daughter.

Mick Wright (38), his wife Sarah and sons Cameron, MacKenzie, Fraser and Brodie planted the willow tree in the garden of their home in Carluke’s Belstane Road as a living, growing family memorial to little Murran, who died in infancy in 2010.

However, the still painful grief of their loss was worsened when the family awoke one morning last week to find the tree had been uprooted and dumped nearby by vandals.

For more on this, pick up a copy of this week’s Carluk Gazette.
