Class Act 2008 production Snow White
THE Gazette jumped at the chance to capture Class Act's performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
Its annual panto, in Lesmahagow, saw Skye Campbell take the lead role as she tries to outsmart Netta Meikle, who plays the evil Queen.
Snow White is helped along the way by her faithful dwarves, played by Robert and Alison Ford, Sarah and Graham Watson, Luke Campbell, Ciara Higgins and Louanna McAteer.
Class Act chairwoman Margo Lindsay said: "This year we have more kids in the panto, which is great.
"It's great fun having them and they're all as high as kites and can't wait to get started.
"They have been rehearsing for long enough and want to perform in front of an audience."
Class Act's performances features many high points including classic songs such as Spoonful of Sugar, Party of a Lifetime, Oh What a Beautiful Morning and Cheerio We Will Be Back Soon.
Another highlight includes a special episode of the Weakest Link with Snow White, Prince Jamie (played by Matthew Topping) and Robert Keddie as King Stanley.
It all adds up to a fantastic night's fun, which could be Class Act's final panto in the Jubilee Hall.
Margo also praised director Heather Court who brought the performance together.
She said: "Without Heather we would be lost.
''She shouts when she has to and knows exactly what's needed.
"The Weakest Link was very funny. The King is extremely stupid and Snow White wants to know if the Prince has something to hide. We even had one of them take the walk of shame.
"The people of Lesmahagow always look forward to the panto. They know they are going to be entertained and we show that you don't have to go into Glasgow to watch a good panto."
