SOUTHSIDE bar, Armstrongs, has been busy this month raising cash to fight cancer.

Manageress Angie Findlay and her staff really went the extra mile to show how committed they were to battle the disease on Battlefield Road.

One popular event was when two, signed football tops were auctioned — one from the blue half of Glasgow and one from the green half.

Sunday, June 1, was the final day and was marked with a barbecue for a little last-minute fundraising.

The staggering sum of £892 was raised for MacMillan Cancer Support.
