CARLUKE Rovers manager Colin Slater is hoping it will be ‘third time lucky’ at this Saturday’s home league game against Benburb.

The previous two attempts to fulfil the fixture this season have been thwarted by first-half match abandonments. Rovers’ Scott Bellew sustained a horror leg break in the original game in November, before the rematch in March ended early due to high winds.

“We gave the gate money from last Saturday’s game against Lanark to Scott Bellew,” said gaffer Colin.

“As this Saturday marks our third attempt to play a home game against Benburb this season, we are offering free entry to supporters.”
